what if…
poem 18 Comments »i made this one few weeks ago under a pseudonym.got myself few aliases.in all honesty, i can’t make the head and tail of this poem.i simply cannot think of anything but “what if”. maybe, some of you may find some sense in it …feel free to enlighten me. as long as i have my what ifs, i am to a certain extent, satisfied for now….
what if the sun refused to shine
the dew of morning mist shall lost its charm
what if the night fails to come
the moon and stars will be forgotten in time
what if the flowers ceased to bloom
all melodies in the world has lost its tune
what if the wind is there no more
to caress each leaf when its time to fall
what if a promise has fail to hold on to love
is there a balm to heal a broken heart
what if the words were held and the feelings locked
no poem left to stir a soul and soothes a dying heart
after a rejuvinating hours of blissful slumber and reading a couple of insights to this piece which caused me uncertainty yesterday, i made a few changes to it this morning.got to say, i liked the edited one a lot better…thanks babes and zen for grasping the inner nature of this poem and for giving me the core meaning i was longing to finished it off..thank you!
what if the sun refused to shine
the dew of morning mist shall lost its charm
what if the night fails to come
the moon and stars will be forgotten in time
what if the rivers and lakes run dry
the snowcapped mountains withered and die
what if the rain falls no more
ground is parched and no greens at all
what if the flowers ceased to bloom
all melodies in the world has lost its tune
what if the wind is there no more
to caress each leaf when its time to fall
what if these wonders around me ceased one day
no sunset and sunrise, devoid of colors and music to play
what if we stop for a while, take a minute to look around
embrace all these marvels before it’s all gone..
